Like a Virgin
Submitted by Michael Umansky on Sat, 11/11/2006 - 2:18am.This film took my virginity!
This experience was the first time I felt that I was truly acting in a real movie! Sure I had a role or two before, but they were nothing, no more than dry foreplay through thick clothes. This film took me through all the bases all the way home. Hmm, when I started typing I didn't intend to use sexual innuendos to describe how I feel, but if I'm to show you how passionately I feel about my experience then what other activity generates more passion?!

Man-eating Geese
Submitted by Megan Maselli on Mon, 10/16/2006 - 7:48am.The image of a young boy and his sister feeding geese at the park... seems light and whimsical, right? Now try to rethink that same image from the perspective a a 3 foot tall boy looking into the hungry eyes of a 3 foot tall goose and the dynamic changes a bit.

Submitted by Samuel Lopez on Tue, 10/10/2006 - 10:28pm.This is my first ever blog entry. I keep a bit of hand written journal at home but it's actually more of a record of big events that happen. No real emotion attached to it, just bullet marks of information.
I joined Around The Bay on the weekend of 9/30-10/1. I saw an ad on craigslist.org/crew gigs for a boom operator. "I can do this," I said to myself. "This sounds very interesting, if it's on the up and up". You have to be a little careful on craigslist sometimes, some of the ads can be, well, a little shady. Alex answered my email the next day and I replied asking for a quick synopsis of the movie. Another quick email reply and I had the general outline. I was impressed with the quick responses.
The Study of Social Groups and Social Interaction
Submitted by Gernez Macagba on Mon, 10/09/2006 - 12:02am.When I was in high school, I had every intention of becoming a director "when I grew up."
When I started college, I intended to major in Film-Digital Media. My university's housing services placed me in the dorms with other potential film majors, and that is when I realized I wasn't cut out for it. It seemed like every other person knew so much more about film. They all had previous knowledge that I didn't. I felt so behind. Besides all of that, my parents weren't supportive of me being a filmmaker, so naturally I gave up on my dreams and became a Sociology major.
